Ellen Gottesdiener
Ellen Gottesdiener is principal consultant and founder of EBG Consulting, Inc. Ellen has authored two books and numerous articles and has contributed chapters to several books. To read more about Ellen’s publications, click here.
Ellen is a frequent speaker and adviser for numerous national conferences and local technical user groups.
Ellen is a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) and has extensive experience as a professional workshop facilitator, focusing on helping projects start smart through facilitated workshops. She has designed and facilitated a wide variety of collaborative workshops including: project chartering, product vision and scoping, product roadmap, requirements development, iteration and release planning, and product architecture workshops.
Ellen is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), an agile coach, and agile trainer with a passion about agile requirements. She works with large, complex products and helps teams elicit just enough requirements to achieve iteration and product goals. She is an internationally recognized expert on project and process improvement and has conducted many project, team, and iteration retrospectives.
Ellen is an expert reviewer of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) and a member of the Endorsed Education Provider committee. For more on how EBG Consulting contributes to the IIBA, click here
Ellen develops all the training materials used by EBG Consulting. Since 1991, Ellen has provided a broad range of services to EBG clients, including training, workshop facilitation, consulting, and mentoring.
Before founding EBG, Ellen spent 13 years as a manager, team leader, developer, and trainer with a major insurance and financial services organization.
Mary Gorman
Mary Gorman, CBAP™ (Certified Business Analysis Professional™), is a senior associate with EBG Consulting, Inc. For more than 20 years, Mary has worked with many organizations, including numerous Fortune 100 companies, as a consultant, mentor, trainer, facilitator, process engineer, and analyst building robust business and system models.
Mary has deep experience helping managers and analysts plan, build, monitor, and measure requirements deliverables in a variety of ways:
Creating and customizing job aids, such as deliverable frameworks, templates, style guides, and evaluation criteria
Defining stewardship roles and responsibilities
Creating traceability matrices
Mentoring project stakeholders to help them understand and leverage the behavioral, structural, dynamic, and control requirements models
EBG Consulting’s course materials have benefited greatly from Mary’s extensive instructional design experience. As an expert trainer of both technical and business audiences, Mary has achieved numerous client kudos.
Mary serves on the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®) committee and leads the Requirements Elicitation subcommittee. She also serves on the team responsible for creating the certification exam for the Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP™) .

Paul R. Reed, Jr.
Paul R. Reed, Jr. is a senior associate with EBG Consulting. Paul delivers EBG Consulting's requirements training including Analysis Modeling and Agile Requirements. He is a Certified Scrum Master and is the author of, "Developing Applications with Java and UML" and "Developing Applications with Visual Basic and UML" both published by Addison-Wesley.
Paul excels at mentoring small teams using agile techniques to capture, validate, and certify requirements. In addition, Paul's background in software design and construction is used to leverage the teams transitioning analysis artifacts to a sound design in the context of a constrained Scrum-based iterative lifecycle.
Paul is a popular speaker at many noted industry events such as UML World, SD East and West, BEA World and the Software Developer conferences. Mr. Reed also leads seminars worldwide on such topics as Use Case Analysis, Object-Oriented Design, Unified Process, and Agile methods.
Paul has assisted many organizations with their application assessment and development needs. These companies cover a broad spectrum of services and among of few of these are Visa USA, Visa International, The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, The Department of the Treasury, Eli Lilly, Nordstrom's, and Sallie Mae.
